Dock workers at Piraeus and Thessaloniki, the country's two largest ports, are to end a two-month overtime ban on Wednesday, ending severe disruption for trade and commerce.

Workers on Tuesday agreed to hold talks with the government and management on improving operations at the two facilities that have a completion deadline of April 30, and an option for continuation.

The decision was taken by Merchant Marine Minister Manolis Kefaloyiannis, management of Piraeus Port Authority, the Federation of Permanent Staff at Greek Ports, and dock wïrkers in Piraeus.
