[01] KKE on developments at Olympic AirlinesThe Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in an announcement on Saturday referred to developments at Olympic Airlines, noting that "a crime" has been committed against the company."The continous crime against Olympic Airlines is not a matter of incompetence or mistaken options of the New Democracy and PASOK governments. It is a conscious option of theirs in cooperation with the European Union and with the implementation of its decisions. The problem at Olympic Airlines is not economic or legal, as they want to present it, but political," the announcement said. The announcement "calls on all the working class people to back the personnel of Olympic Airlines and to condemn the policy and objectives of the government and of the European Union." [02] Egyptian President Mubarak to visit AthensEgyptian President Hosni Mubarak will be on a working visit to Athens between Dec. 3-6, as the veteran head of state will also be accompanied by a government delegation. Mubarak will be received on Monday by Greek President Karolos Papoulias, who will host a reception in his honor.On Monday afternoon, the Egyptian president will attend a symposium organised by the Friends of the Library of Alexandria. On Tuesday, he will meet with Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis and attend a reception hosted by the premier in his honor. A meeting with main opposition PASOK party president George Papandreou is also scheduled. [03] Turkish FM in Greece on Tues.Turkish foreign minister Ali Babacan will pay an official visit to Greece on December 4 and 5, following an invitation from his Greek counterpart Dora Bakoyannis, the Greek foreign ministry announced. The two ministers will review Greek-Turkish relations, wtih emphasis on strengthening bilateral cooperation.They will also exchange views on European issues, including Turkey's EU accession course, as well as on recent developments in regional and international issues of mutual interest.
