Greece won its first medals in the Beijing Olympic Games over the
weekend, a bronze medal in a women's yachting event and a silver medal
in a men's rowing one.
The crew composed of Sofia Bekatorou, Sofia Papadopoulou and Virginia
Kravarioti won the bronze medal in the women's Yngling category, while
the gold medal was won by the British crew and the silver by the Dutch
one.
The silver medal was won by Vassilis Polymeros and Dimitris Mouyios in
the men's lightweight double skiff rowing final. The first place was
won by the British crew and the third by the Danish one.
