    Equity prices were declining at the opening of trade on Wednesday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 0.60 percent, standing at 1,826.88 points at 10:45 a.m., and turnover at 9.2 million euros.

    Individual sector indices were moving mostly downward, with the biggest losses in Food & Beverate, down 3.12 percent; Banks, down 0.86 percent; and Oil & Gas, down 0.69 percent.

    The biggest gains were in Insurance, up 3.08 percent; Health, up 1.85 percent; and Mass Media, up 0.72 percent.

    The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 0.73 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.47 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.57 percent.

    Of the stocks moved, 35 were up, 21 were down, and 37 were unchanged.
