    [02] Commemorative 2-euro coin

A new commemorative 2-euro coin, minted on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Economic Monetary Union (EMU) agreement, will be available as of Jan. 2, 2009, the Greek finance ministry announced on Tuesday. A primitive human form and the euro symbol will be depicted on the country-specific national side of the coin, with a design reminiscent of ancient coinage. The common reverse side for all Euro-zone countries will be the same as the current Greek 2-euro coins in circulation.
