[01] Post Office Savings Bank renamed

Filippidis announced that the Savings Bank will further utilise its strategic cooperation with the Greek Post Office Service (ELTA), which has been extended to 2021, opening at least 200 to 300 branches inside the ELTA during 2008.

Responding to a question, Filippidis said that the Savings Bank will continue to be "cheap with loans" and give the highest interest rate that it possibly can for deposits, but stressed that it will not adopt the practice of banks that make invoice offers that are only valid for a limited period of time.
