Individual sector indices were moving mostly downward, with the biggest losses in Banks, down 2.03 percent; Telecoms, down 1.66 percent; and Raw Materials, down 1.35 percent.

The biggest gains were in Mass Media, up 1.31 percent; and Public Utilities, up 1.02 percent.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 1.41 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 0.77 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 0.26 percent.

Of the stocks moved, 15 were up, 50 were down, and 14 were unchanged.
