[01] ASE opening: Sharp rise

Individual sector indices were moving upward across the board, with the biggest gains in Insurance, up 5.16 percent; Chemicals, up 4.81 percent; Raw Materials, up 4.00 percent; Telecoms, up 3.93 percent; Health, up 3.86 percent; and Banks, up 3.77 percent.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 2.66 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 2.78 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 3.02 percent.

Of the stocks moved, 121 were up, 4 were down, and 11 were unchanged.
