[01] Edgar Degas exhibition in Athens

Athens will be the first stop of "The Complete Sculptures of Edgar Degas" exhibition world tour.

The centerpiece of the exhibition will be the "Little 14-year-old dancer". All bronze sculptures on display were cast from recently discovered plasters made from Degas' original waxes while he was still alive. ANA-MPA/ORESTIS PANAGIOTOU

Individual sector indices were moving downward across the board, with the heaviest losses in Health, down 5.50 percent; Banks, down 5.09 percent; Insurance, down 4.05 percent; Financial Services, down 2.98 percent; and Mass Media, down 2.89 percent.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 3.69 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 2.51 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 2.69 percent.

Of the stocks moved, 12 were up, 109 were down, and 23 were unchanged.
