Individual sector indices were moving mostly downward, with the only gains in Industrial Products up 0.33 percent and Commerce, up 0.02 percent.

The biggest losses were in Banks, down 2.96 percent; and Oil, down 3.78 percent.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 2.64 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 1.55 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 0.69 percent.

Of the stocks traded, 9 were up, 70 were down, and 10 were unchanged.
