[02] Foreign nationals charged in robbery ring
(ANA-MPA) -- Police on Friday charged two Albanian nationals, 21 and
23, with multiple counts of armed robbery and with forming a criminal
gang after their arrest on Wednesday.
The pair, along with another three wanted suspects, including one
woman, is accused of committing dozens of late night robberies against
small hotels, gas stations, betting pool halls, brothels and even
passersby.
According to reports, one member of the gang would often leave the
others at a club and return after having committed an armed robbery in
order to pay the bill.
Three replicas of handguns, a hunting knife, five cell phones and
suspected stolen jewelry were seized.
