[01] ASE opening: Marginal decline
Equity prices were declining at the opening of trade on Thursday on the
Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 0.02
percent, standing at 1,448.84 points at 11:15 am, and turnover at
10.234 million euros.
Individual sector indices were mixed, with the biggest gains in
Commerce, up 4.94 percent; and Health, up 0.86 percent.
The biggest losses were in Oil and Gas, down 1.99 percent and
Insurance, down 1.51 percent.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up
0.02 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 0.03 percent, and the
FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.83 percent.
Of the stocks traded, 34 were up, 27 were down, and 39 were unchanged.
