[01] ASE opening: Small decline

The biggest gains for individual sector indices were in Financial Services, up 0.98 percent; and Public Utilities, up 0.68 percent.

The biggest losses were in Foods & Beverages, down 2.03 percent and Travel, down 1.04 percent.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 0.19 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.40 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.47 percent.

Of the stocks traded, 30 were up, 34 were down, and 15 were unchanged.

Plans to raise money by legalising unauthorised buildings and the unrelenting pressure on Greek bonds were the main front-page items in Athens' dailies on Thursday.
