[01] Exotic birds of Taiwan photo exhibition(ANA-MPA)-Exotic birds of Taiwan have 'flown' to Greece for a photography exhibition that opened in Edessa on Wednesday.The exhibition of photographs of wild, colorful birds from the far east island was inaugurated by Edessa mayor Dimitris Yiannou and Taiwan's diplomatic representative to Greece Elizabeth Chu.(ANA-MPA) The exhibition comprises 30 photographs of wild exotic birds of Taiwan, and will run through May 15.(ANA-MPA) More details on the subscriber's page of ANA-MPA | Subscription request form [02] IMF on Kahn-Papandreou talksWASHINGTON (ANA-MPA) - In an announcement on the late 2009 communication between Dominique Strauss-Kahn and Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou, the International Monetary Fund underlined that "we are always in contact with our member-states and it is not unusual for the general director to speak with the leadership of a country."It stresses that "in the case of Greece these talks concerned the Greek government's appeal for the provision of know-how regarding the preparation of the budget and tax evasion" and that "there were no negotiations and no agreement on economic aid between the Greek government and the IMF before the official application Greece submitted for economic aid at the end of April 2010." (ANA-MPA) More details on the subscriber's page of ANA-MPA | Subscription request form [03] ASE opening: Small riseEquity prices were rising at the opening of trade on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.16 percent, standing at 1,389.86 points at 11:30 am, and turnover at 13.457 million euros.Individual sector indices were moving upward nearly across the board, with the biggest gains in Travel & Recreation, up 1.47 percent; Industrial Products, up 1.17 percent; and Commerce, up 1.15 percent. The only losses were in Chemicals, down 0.13 percent. The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.08 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.41 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 1.05 percent. Of the stocks traded, 38 were up, 28 were down, and 17 were unchanged.
