(ÁÍÁ-ÌPA) -- The government on Friday categorically denied a report in the webpage of the German magazine "Der Spiegel", according to which Greece is considering its exit from the eurozone.

According to government sources, the report on the country's exit from the euro, apart from being untrue, is written with frivolity, despite the fact that it has been categorically denied by the Greek government and by other eurozone member-states. Such reports, according to the same = sources, undermine the effort of Greece and of the entire eurozone and serve profiteering and speculation.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for Eurogroup President Jean-Claude Juncker denied, in statements to the ANA-MPA in Brussels, the Der Spiegel report, which claimed that an urgent meeting was scheduled on Friday evening in Luxembourg to purportedly discuss Greece's exit from the eurozone.

"There is no such meeting," Guy Soulere said, clarifying that according to his knowledge, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble was not in Luxembourg, as the German magazine claimed in its report. (ÁÍÁ-ÌPA)
