[01] Gov't reshuffle, vote of confidence to follow
ANA-MPA / Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou on Friday went ahead
with a Cabinet reshuffle, with new ministers -- a large portion of whom
changed ministry portfolios -- were later sworn-in.
The premier, in announcing the intended reshuffle on Wednesday evening
(ANA-MPA), has also requested a renewed vote of confidence for the new
government, expected early next week.
Theodoros Pangalos and Evangelos Venizelos are the two government
vice-presidents in the new Cabinet, while Venizelos also assumes the
critical finance ministry, whereas Euro-MP Stavros Lambrinidis was
tapped as the new foreign minister. ANA-MPA
