[01] Stocks fall to January 1993 levels
AMNA / Stocks ended significantly lower at the opening of the trading
week on Monday at the Athens Stock Exchange, hit by a negative climate
in other European and international markets along with a warning by
Moody's of a possible downgrade of France's credit rating.
The composite index of the market fell 3.74 pct to end at 686.00 points,
its lowest level since January 1993.
Turnover remained a disappointing low 29.334 million euros.
The Big Cap index fell 4.04 pct, the Mid Cap index ended 2.89 pct lower
and the Small Cap index dropped 2.50 pct. AMNA
