[01] Athens Stock Exchange opening: Rise
AMNA--Equity prices were rising at the opening of trade on Monday on
the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up
0.96 percent, standing at 649.02 points at 11:00 am, and turnover at
2.375 million euros.
Individual sector indices were moving upward nearly across the board,
with the biggest gains in Health, up 7.19 percent; Food and Beverages,
up 3.27 percent and Telecoms, up 2.60 percent.
The biggest losses were in Technology, down 1.15 percent and Oil and Gas,
down 0.59 percent.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up
0.62 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.21 percent, and the
FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.35 percent. amna
