[01] Poll forecasts 10-party parliamentAMNA / A new opinion poll indicates that up to 10 political parties will gain seats in the 300-MP Parliament in the May 6 general elections.The poll, conducted by the Athens-based firm Marc, and presented on a private television station on Tuesday evening, gives New Democracy (ND) 22.3 percent of respondents' preference, which would mean 110 seats in the Greek legislature, with PASOK coming in second with 17.8 percent and 48 seats. The two largest parties are followed by the newly formed Independent Greeks with 9.9 percent; the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA parliamentary alliance) with 9.8 percent and the Communist Party (KKE) with 9.7 percent, each gaining 26 seats if the results actually materialise in the upcoming election. www.amna.gr Following are the newly created Democratic Left (DI.MAR) with 8.6 percent and 23 seats, the ultra-rightwing Chryssi Avghi (Golden Dawn) party with 5.7 percent and 15 seats, the Popular Orthodox Rally (LA.O.S) party with 3.9 percent and 10 seats, the Ecologists-Greens with 3.1 percent and eight seats, and newly formed Democratic Alliance barely squeeking into Parliament with 3 percent and eight seats. Of the above, only LA.O.S has deputies in the current and outgoing Parliament plenum. [03] IMF: Greek economy to recover from 2013AMNA / The Greek economy will recover from 2013, the International Monetary Fund forecast on Tuesday.In its spring report on the outlook of the global economy, the IMF said that economic recession in Greece, Portugal, Italy and Spain will be deeper and noted that recovery was not expected before 2013, in contrast with other Eurozone economies, where a shallow and short-lived recovery was expected. The IMF said the Greek economy will remain in recession this year, with the country's Gross Domestic Product expected to shrink by 4.7 pct in 2012, from 6.9 pct in 2011, while the GDP was expected to stabilize around 2012 levels next year. www.amna.gr The IMF said the inflation rate will turn negative, -0.5 pct in 2012 and -0.3 pct in 2013, while the unemployment rate will rise to 19.4 pct of the workforce in 2012, to remain unchanged in 2012. The country's current accounts deficit will fall to 7.4 pct of GDP this year, falling to 6.6 pct in 2013, form 9.7 pct of GDP in 2011.
