[02] Child dead, five injured in collision between car and schoolbus

According to initial information the boy, who was riding in the car that was driven by his mother, was fatally injured in a head-on collision between the two vehicles at 8:30 a.m.

The boy was rushed to the Aglaia Kyriakou children's hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, while the boy's mother and the bus chaperone were lightly injured and taken to the George Gennimatas General Hospital for first aid.amna

Three children on the schoolbus also suffered minor injuries, but did not require transfer to hospital.amna

Athens traffic police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
