[01] Meeting of coalition gov't party leaders endsAMNA /Prime Minister Antonis Samaras met on Monday evening with the political leaders that participate in his coalition government, PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos and Democratic Left (DIMAR) leader Fotis Kouvelis. The meeting, which was held at the Maximos mansion (government's headquarters) focused on issues regarding the government's priorities against unemployment, the management of National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) funds and the government's work in each ministry. Kouvelis told reporters at the end of the meeting that there will be no layoffs in the public sector. He added that in the coming days a full programme will be announced in support of families having no employed person, with funds by the National Strategic Reference Framework (ESPA). He also said that no unemployed person must remain without medical and pharmaceutical care, while stressing that priority will be placed on growth. Kouvelis underlined that the prime minister and the PASOK leader accepted his proposal for the public sector to conclude programme agreements with the banks for specific growth plans. Earlier, Finance Mibnister Yannis Stournaras said on leaving the meeting that "our target is the decrease in unemployment among young people".
