[01] PM chairs new meeting of gov't economic staff
AMNA/ Prime Minister Antonis Samaras was chairing a meeting on Friday
morning with Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras and the government's
economic staff, with the participation of central Bank of Greece (BoG)
governor George Provopoulos.
The talks come on the heels of a broad meeting chaired by Samaras on
Thursday evening, that lasted for four and a half hours, on closing
all outstanding matters and preparation for a new round of discussions
with the European Commission (EC), European Central Bank (ECB) and
International Monetary Fund (IMF) Troika of Greece's international
lenders, which returns to Athens next week.
The meeting will also focus on the repercussions of the economic crisis
in Cyprus and its possible impact on the Greek banking system.
