[01] Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu in Athens

According to a Foreign Ministry announcement Venizelos' meeting with Davutoglu is held within the framework of Davutoglu's official visit to Greece.

After their meeting at the foreign ministry the two officials will make statements to the press. Afterwards Venizelos will host a working lunch in Davutoglu's honour.

According to diplomatic sources, the Turkish minister's visit to Greece is a return visit after Venizelos' visit to Ankara in July 2013.

Bilateral and regional issues as well as the preparation of the 3rd meeting of the High Cooperation Council between Greece and Turkey will be on the meeting's agenda. The date of the meeting has not been decided yet.

It is reminded that the 2nd High Level Cooperation Council meeting between Greece and Turkey was held in Istanbul on 3 March 2013 chaired by both countries' prime ministers and with the participation of Greek and Turkish ministers.
