[01] Independent Greeks leader criticises PM and the new growth model
ANA/MPA---The growth that the prime minister is promoting will be
achieved after the current government is overthrown, Independent Greeks
(ANEL) party leader Panos Kammenos said on Tuesday in a campaign speech
in Ptolemaida, western West Macedonia, referring to the premier's speech
on the same night.
"No pre-election promise can be kept by the same people who signed the
memorandums," Kammenos said and wondered whether the government has
understood what has happened in the country during the last three years,
citing as example unemployment in Ptolemaida, where it reached 70 pct
while businesses are going bankrupt one after the other.
"We say yes to Europe of nation-states and no to the Europe of bankers,"
Kammenos underlined and stressed that the solution to the country's
recovery is a government of national unity, whose members will not
include those who bowed and scraped to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
