[01] Greek state budget surplus 3.003 bln euros in Jan-Oct, per Bank of GreeceANA-MPA - Greece's state budget cash surplus surpassed 3.0 billion euros in the January-October period, totaling 3.003 billion euros, the Bank of Greece said on Monday.In a report, the central bank said that the cash primary balance of the state budget (surplus 3.003 billion euros) remained a surplus if revenue regarding Securities Market Program (SMP) income transfers from Eurosystem central banks was included and revenue from repayment of preference shares, as well as expenditure for the repayment of arrears and for Greece's contribution to the European Stability Mechanism were excluded. The report noted that in January-October 2014, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of 2.250 billion euros, compared to a deficit of 9.074 billion in the same period in 2013. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to 38.391 billion, compared to 37.993 billion euros in the corresponding period of last year. It includes revenue of 1.310 billion euros from repayment of preference shares, while revenue of 62 million regarding Securities Market Program (SMP) income transfers from Eurosystem central banks is excluded. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about 336 million for the repayment of arrears, as well as 451 million euros for Greece's contribution to the European Stability Mechanism, amounted to 40.068 billion, from 47.904 billion euros in January-October 2013. The negotiation is progressing," Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis said on Monday, immediately after a two-hour meeting with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.In statements to reporters waiting outside as he left the meeting, Hardouvelis said that there was no 48-hour ultimatum but that the government "did not yet know" when the EU-IMF troika mission representing Greece's international lenders will return. "We will have time to complete the negotiations within the deadline," Hardouvelis said in response to questions and, replying to another reporter, denied feeling that he'd been "hung out to dry".
