[01] Tsipras to visit Geneva and Belgrade this week
ANA/MPA---Main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras will be in Geneva
on Wednesday to visit the International Labour Office, the permanent
secretariat of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). His meetings
will focus on labour relations in light of the new conditions emerging
globally, especially in the European Union.
SYRIZA sources said that the visit had been planned for some time and that
Tsipras' meetings with ILO staff will cover issues relating to workers
in Greece, whose rights the ILO has frequently supported in recent years.
On Thursday, Tsipras will travel to Belgrade for talks with Serbia's
political leadership and parties, focusing on the situation in the region,
on economic and social problems, nationalist trends, crime and relations
between the Western Balkans and the EU. SYRIZA's leader is expected to
stress the need to promote the South East European Cooperation Process
and improve bilateral relations between countries in the region, as well
as action to tackle nationalist problems that are poisoning the climate
and creating tensions in the region.
[02] Eurogroup president: There should be an agreement in the coming days
ANA/MPA---There should definitely be an agreement between the troika
and Athens in the coming days, Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem
told Greek daily Ta Nea.
"Otherwise, the risk is too high and we won't be able to take decisions
on Greece in the Eurogroup meeting next week," he said.
According to the paper report, Dijsselbloem declined to answer when asked
on the solution to be chosen for Greece after the end of the current
bailout programme, referring the whole issue to the Eurogroup meeting
next week.
