[01] Tanker of Greek interests targeted; two crew members dead
ANA/MPA---A Liberia-flagged tanker of Greek interests was attacked
at a Libyan port by an unidentified military aircraft resulting into
the death of a 29 year-old Greek and a foreign national, both crew
members. Two more crew members of foreign nationality were injured.
The headquarters of the Greek Coast Guard were informed by the heads of
the company that operates the vessel.
The tanker "ARAEVO" with 26 members crew, three Greeks, twenty one
Philippinos and two Romanians, was carrying 12,600 tons of oil and was
anchored at the Derna port of Libya.
The Greek Foreign Ministry has already been informed in order to conduct
the relevant actions.
