from international financial organisations.
His first meeting will be with Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem who

would lead to a sustainable, integrated agreement for the reconstruction
of the country's social economy, in the framework of an evolving Europe.
The Greek finance minister will travel to London on Monday, February 2,
for talks with his British counterpart George Osborne. The meeting will
focus on the start of a close cooperation between the two countries
on issues of mutual, European interest. Varoufakis will also meet with
officials from the City of London. On Monday afternoon, the Greek FinMin
will meet in Paris with his French counterpart Michel Sapin and the
Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron, with the latter officially declaring
that a renegotiation of the Greek debt, demanded by the Greek government,
was legitimate.
The Greek finance minister will travel to Rome on Tuesday, February 3,
to meet with his Italian counterpart Pier Carlo Padoan, to exchange
views over the macro-economic course of the Eurozone.
Meanwhile, Angel Gurria, secretary-general of the OECD, has accepted
an invitation from Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and will visit
Athens in February 11 to discuss "with the economic team the government's
proposals over radical reforms, to offer his good services on the issue
and to express his experience of maximum public debt renegotiation
practices as Finance minister of Mexico."
The finance ministry, in an announcement, said that "the new government
was working methodically, in cooperation with its European partners and
international agencies such as the OECD, for stability, reforms and the
prospect of immediately overcoming the self-reinforcing crisis".
