[01] German FinMin: It's up to Greece how soon the money will be disbursedBERLIN (ANA-MPA / F. Karaviti) -- If Athens implements its reforms sooner than expected, it could get paid early, German finance ministry spokesman Martin Jaeger on Friday said, adding that the process cannot last beyond the end of June.He said that it is up to Greece how fast it will move, and repeated that the reform programme should be implemented, reviewed by the three institutions and if the review is positive the Eurogroup will decide to disburse the money. The German finance ministry spokesman refused to comment on information concerning liquidity problems allegedly faced by the Greek government and on a news report according to which, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras requested an extraordinary meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker. Jaeger said that Greece will not get the next tranche of its bailout in March noting that there is no basis for that. He added that the Eurogroup agreement provides that Greece must develop its list of reforms in detail by the end of April and implement it by the end of June at the latest. Jaeger said that the implementation of the reforms will be reviewed and the extended bailout programme will have to be successfully completed before the last tranche, which is pending, is disbursed. The option of disbursing smaller tranches, as was the case in the past, is not available anymore, he underlined. Responding to relevant questions, the spokesman of German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble pointed out that if the Greek government is in a position to work out its list of reforms in detail earlier and if this programme is implemented earlier, it would be possible to pay the last tranche earlier. He noted that this depends entirely on Athens and underlined that the procedure cannot change adding that the sequence of events is binding.
