ANA-MPA -- Veteran Greek gymnast Vlasios Maras added another medal to
his collection on Sunday after placing third in the Horizontal Bar event
at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Montpellier,
France.
Maras received a total of 14,666 points and was beaten by the UK's Sam
Oldham with 14,766 in second place and Croatia's Marijo Moznik with
14,833 who won the gold.
The bronze medal was the 32-year-old athlete's eighth at a European
championship, after winning five gold medals for the same event in
European competitions held in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2010, a silver
medal in Lausanne in 2008 and a bronze medal in Montpellier in 2012.
[02] Registered unemployment unchanged in Feb.
ANA/MPA---Registered unemployment was unchanged in February, totaling
864,512 unemployed people, from 864,377 in January, for an increase of
0.02 pct, the Workforce Employment Organization (OAED) said on Friday.
From the total of registered umemployment, 461,000 (53.32 pct) were
long-tern unemployed for more than 12 months, while the remaining 403,512
(46.68 pct) were unemployed for less than 12 months. The number of
unemployed people not seeking work fell by 2.32 pct in February, while
the number of unemployed people receiving unemployment benefit fell by
8.32 pct in the month. A 59.88 pct of registered unemployed people were
women and 93.19 pct were Greek citizens.
Registered unemployment in the 15-19 age group was 1.08 pct, in the
20-24 age group it was 9.03 pct, in the 25-29 age group it was 14.22 pct,
in the 30-44 age group it was 40.51 pct, in the 45-54 age group it was
21.93 pct, in the 55-64 age group it was 12.24 pct and in the above 65
age group it was 1.0 pct.
