The government will respond with a sense of responsibility," Economy Minister George Stathakis said on Monday upon his arrival to the Finance ministry.[02] Eurogroup on Tuesday to be followed by European summit; other meetingsA European summit meeting will be held in Brussels on Tuesday to discuss future plans after Greece's referendum on Sunday. It will be preceded by an emergency meeting by the Eurogroup, while the Euro Working Group will have convened by teleconference a day earlier, on Monday.In his Twitter account, European Council President Donald Tusk said the summit meeting will be held at 19:00 (Greek time) on Tuesday to "discuss the situation following the referendum in Greece." According to European diplomatic sources, the restart of negotiations between Greece and its partners may only begin by decision of the Eurogroup. According to the sources, negotiations cannot begin immediately, as the Greek programme expired on Tuesday and the European Commission has not yet received the relevant order by the Eurogroup. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will also hold a teleconference about Greece on Monday morning with Tusk, European Central Bank President Mario Draghi and Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem. In Greece, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has received the approval of President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos to convene the council of political party leaders to brief them on his stance and hear their proposals, ahead of the new negotiating cycle expected to start soon. This meeting will be held early on Monday. Earlier on Sunday, Tsipras spoke with French President Francois Hollande who reiterated his country's great interest in Greece and its partners reaching an agreement the soonest possible. Tsipira) The European Central Bank is ready to take additional measures to support the eurozone at a "time of uncertainty," ECB Executive Board member Benoit Coeure said on Sunday. Speaking at an economic conference in Aix-en-Provence in southern France, Coeure said the ECB will "find the necessary instruments and use those instruments to do more if that becomes necessary." "In the current circumstances of great uncertainty in Europe and the world, the ECB has been clear that if we need to do more we will do more...Our will to act in this matter should not be doubted," Coeure added. Speaking at the same conference, French Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron said that talks between the two sides must continue, even if Greeks vote 'no' in Sunday's referendum. Macron said Greece and its creditors had to find a compromise based on reforms while also making its debt burden more sustainable.
