[01] Greek state participation in banks' recapitalization to advance
according to current legislation, FinMin official says
Answering questions on the recapitalization of Greek banks, a high-level
official of the Ministry of Finance was quoted as saying: "As it has been
said a number of times by the Ministry of Finance, the participation
of Greek state preference shares in burden sharing will take place as
envisaged by the relative law according to the evaluation provided by
the Bank of Greece for securities of similar seniority."
[02] Two dead, four injured in strong earthquake that jolted Lefkada
Two women lost their life and four citizens were injured at the strong
earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale that shook the island of
Lefkada on Tuesday morning
Many damages were reported on the road network of the island.
According to the Geodynamic Institute, the tremor, which took place at
9.15 am, was located in the sea region 25 kilometers off the island.
[03] Nine dead in new refugees boat tragedy
A dinghy carrying 23 refugees overturned near the coast of the eastern
Aegean island of Kos early on Tuesday, killing at least nine people
Among the dead are four children, four women and a man.
