Public sector union ADEDY called for a mass rally on November 19 in central Athens to protest against the government's "onerous plan" and omnibus bill with the third batch of prior actions which was tabled in parliament on Wednesday and will be voted on the day

"Among others, the bill opens the way for mass foreclosures on poor households," the union said in its statement, adding that the agreement achieved with the creditors will only benefit bankers "who bankrupted their institutions by granting loans to businessmen" and are now rescued again with 10 billion euros.

The rally has been scheduled at 18.30 (local time) on Syntagma square.
