[01] ANEL MP Nikolopoulos says he will not vote the draft law on prior
actions
"Nikos Nikolopoulos was elected with Independent Greeks (ANEL)in the
recent elections, and he know of the prior actions. I hope that he will
not deceive the Greek people in today's vote in parliament. Otherwise, he
should hand over his seat" stated ANEL leader Panos Kammenos commenting
Nikolopoulos intention to not vote the draft law on Thursday night
Independent Greeks (ANEL) MP Nikos Nikolopoulos expressed his intention
not to vote the draft law on the prior actions speaking on Thursday to
ANT1 private TV.
Nikolopoulos stated that he disagrees with the first residence
foreclosures adding that his position is the same for the social security
system.
[02] EU Commissioner Andriukaitis in Athens; to visit refugees on Lesvos
European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Vytenis Andriukaitis
arrived earlier in Athens and will leave for the island Lesvos on
Thursday to visit health centers and other areas accommodating refugees
and migrants
The Commissioner's first stop will be Mytilene's health center and then
he will visit the UNHCR Reception Centre in Skala Sykamnias and the beach
Platanos, and before he leaves the island, Andriukaitis will also visit
the Identification and Registration Center in Moria.
On Friday, Andriukaitis will address the Greek parliament and afterwards
he will give a press conference at the European Commission offices
in Athens.
[03] 3,352 refugees arrived on Thursday at Piraeus port
A total of 3,352 refugees arrived on Thursday morning at Piraeus port
The ferries Blue Star Patmos, Blue Star 1 and Nissos Rhodos carried
respectively 1,421, 1,237 and 694 refugees from the ports of Mytilene
and Chios.
