[01] ESM's approval for disbursement of 1bln euros sub-tranche expected
on Tuesday
The decision for the approval by the board of the ESM on the disbursement
of the 1 bln euros sub-tranche to Greece is expected to be taken on
Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier, Alternate spokesperson of the European Commission Mina Andreeva
confirmed that the evaluation on the second package of the prior actions
was completed by the institutions.
[02] Mahmoud Abbas: Political dispute on Palestine must not become a
religious conflict
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas made a plea the political dispute on
the Palestinian issue to not turn into a religious conflict because it
would give ground to the extremists, in his address on Tuesday at the
Senate Hall of the Greek parliament.
Abbas characterised the occupation since 1967 the "longest-standing
oppressive phenomenon in the history of humanity", the broadening of the
occupation process and the building of the wall as "dangerous phenomena"
and noted that he personally supports the peaceful struggle and condemns
any kind of violence. "We want a peaceful negotiation and we believe in
the vision of two states that will be recognised by all the countries
of the world in order to live in stability and safety", underlined the
Palestinian president.
