[01] Government appoints lawyer Pitsilis as head of Public Revenue
directorate
The Finance Ministry issued on Wednesday an act of cabinet which named
lawyer Giorgos Pitsilis as the new general secretary for public revenues.
According to the press release, Pitsilis was born in the United States in
1975 and has followed a successful career in law, after graduating from
Athens Law School. He also received a DEA in Tax Law from the University
of Pantheon - Sorbonne (Paris I).
He specializes in a wide range of Tax Law - Greek, International and
European. He has numerous articles in legal publications and financial
newspapers and has participated in the scientific panels of various legal
journals. He speaks fluent English and French and has working knowledge
of German.
