She estimated that the climate will change in the second half of 2016 and reassured that the low incomers will be supported. It is feasible, she said, to talk about Greece's exit from the memoranda in three years.

The government spokeswoman ruled out the possibility of early elections, but she did not rejected the possibility of a government reshuffle with the participation of people outside SYRIZA party.

[03] 800 children vaccinated on Wednesday at Idomeni

The Health Ministry aims to vaccinate all refugees up to 15 years at the hosting facilities around the country to protect them from the diseases of diphtheria and tetanus, measles, hepatitis and polio, influenza and pneumococcus.

The vaccination is held by the Medecines Sans Frontieres in cooperation with the General Secretariat of Public Health, the Hellenic Center for Disease Control & Prevention and the Health Emergency National Center.

[04] Greek unemployment rate eased to 24.2 pct in Feb

The statistics service, in a monthly report, said that the number of unemployed people fell 5.7 pct in February compared with the same month last year and by 0.6 pct compared with January 2016. The number of employed people totaled 3,625,262, up 2.4 pct in February compared with the same month last year and up 0.3 pct compared with January 2016. The number of economically non active people (not working or not seeking work) totaled 3,277,146, down 1.7 pct from February 2015 and down 0.2 pct compared with January 2016.

The unemployment rate among women eased to 28.7 pct in February from 29.8 pct in Feb 2015, while among men it fell to 20.6 pct from 22.6 pct over the same periods, respectively.

The 15-24 years age group recorded the highest unemployment rate (51.4 pct in February from 51.8 pct in Feb 2015), followed by the 25-34 age group (31.6 pct from 32.9 pct), the 35-44 age group (21.4 pct from 22.4 pct), the 45-54 age group (19.6 pct from 20.9 pct), the 55-64 age group (19.3 pct from 18.2 pct) and the 65-74 age group (12 pct from 10 pct).

[05] Greek tourism concerned with plans for additional tax burdens

"Despite hard work and a very positive year in 2015, Greek tourism remains puzzled with the huge load burdened to support Greek economy," Andreadis said, adding that the government -under the pressure to complete a review of the Greek programme- was ready to increase costs on hotels, restaurants, alcohol drinks, museum tickets, burdening foreign visitors.

Andreadis stressed that a government plan to impose an overnight fee on hotels, ranked in categories above two stars, would be a gravestone for business activity in tourism, adding that this could lead to a massive wave of hotel downgrade to lower categories.

According to authorities, the suspect was spotted taking photos of Coast Guard staff at the port of Chios. Authorities found photo material with ships of the Greek Navy, Frontex and the Greek Coast Guard in his camera.
