BRUSSELS (ANA-MPA/Ch. Vassilaki) -- Migration, Home Affairs and
Citizenship Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos on Friday upon his
arrival at the meeting of EU interior ministers in Brussels expressed
his "disappointment" over the "very poor results of the implementation
of the (refugees) relocation programme."
"I will ask the ministers to start having results on this
issue. Relocation is linked with solidarity and solidarity cannot be
applied à la carte," he underlined.
The EU Commissioner stated that the implementation of the EU-Turkey
agreement will be discussed today, as well as the issue of borders and
the proposal for the creation of a European border guard and coastguard.
