[01] Parliament to vote on prior actions bill on Sunday nightThe heated debate on the omnibus bill that includes measures demanded by Greece's lenders to close the first program review continued in parliament on Sunday, with interest focusing on the speeches by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the leaders of the opposition parties expected later this evening.Voting on the bill will be concluded late on Sunday. A meeting is currently underway with the participation of five ministers responsible for changes on special wage scales in order to find equivalent measures. On Saturday, Tsipras asked ministers to come up with alternative measures in each ministry by Sunday, to avoid cutting or freezing wages. Speaking in parliament on Saturday, government ministers described the measures included in the bill as necessary and socially just, while the opposition criticized the government of imposing cuts on pensions and wages. Debate focused on the contingency mechanism and the new privatization fund which are also included in the package of measures discussed by lawmakers [02] Government majority will not be tested by omnibus bill, says parliament headThe government majority will not be jeopardized in the crucial vote for the difficult bill on prior actions which is being debated in parliament and will be voted on Sunday evening, Parliament President Nikos Voutsis told ANA-MPA in an interview.Voutsis said the government has worked hard to ensure the next Eurogroup will take decisions that will open the way for the productive reconstruction and growth of the economy, as well as with developments on the country's debt. The parliament head acknowledged the measures being debated are difficult but noted the bill includes safety valves that allow for optimism "as we are before the beginning of a serious discussion on debt."
