[01] Over-achieved budget revenue targets is best answer to doubters,
says FinMin source
Exceeding the budget revenue target in August has offset the installment
of the property tax ENFIA (totaling 738 million euros) which will be
collected at the end of September, instead of August, as originally
foreseen, a finance ministry source said on Tuesday, commenting on
budget data published earlier in the day.
According to the official figures, the state budget recorded a primary
surplus of 3.756 billion euros in the January-August period this year,
from a surplus of 3.798 billion in the same period last year and a budget
target for a surplus of 980 million euros.
