[01] PM Tsipras visits Nisyros
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Tuesday will visit the island of
Nisyros where he will explain in detail the decision not to raise the
VAT rate on the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean, according
to government sources.
The prime minister will also outline a series of measures already taken
for the habitats of the islands.
[02] FinMin and intuitions' representatives to meet at 3 pm
The Finance ministry's meetings with the institutions' representatives
in the framework of the second programme review will start at 3 pm.
[03] Transactions over 500 euros only by credit cards
The omnibus bill of the Finance an Justice ministries including
provisions for reforming the bankruptcy code of businesses, electronic
transactions (plastic money) and voluntary disclosure of undeclared
income was submitted to Parliament late on Monday.
According to the bill, transactions over 500 euros need to be made with
the use of credit cards while the tax free threshold is related to the
amount of expenses made with the use of these cards based and the income.
