  • [01] PM Tsipras pays two-day visit to Serbia

    Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will pay a two-day visit to Serbia on Tuesday and Wednesday during which he will hold a series of contacts with the state and political leadership of the country.

    The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and Deputy Minister of Economy and Development Stergios Pitsiorlas.

    The visit will start at 10 am (local time) with the official welcoming ceremony at the Prime Minister's mansion, followed by a private meeting with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic, as well as extended talks between the two delegations. At 11.45 (local time) the two prime ministers will make joint declarations.

    At 12.15 the Greek prime minister will be received by the President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic, followed by a private meeting of the two men. Afterwards there will be a meeting of Greece's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister with Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, and then, in the afternoon, the prime ministers of both countries will address the Greek-Serbian Business Forum.

    On Wednesday, the second and last day of the visit, the Prime Minister will meet with the President of the Serbian National Assembly Maja Gojkovic, and then, with the Serbian Patriarch Irinej.
