[01] Protesting farmers to meet Rural Development minister on Friday
Representatives from the farmers' nationwide committee on blockades will
meet with Rural Development Minister Vangelis Apostolou and officials
from the ministries of finance, labour and environment on Friday, in an
effort to defuse tensions and end the road blockades around the country.
In the meantime, farmers are planning a rally in Athens on Tuesday
(Feb. 14) and are preparing rallies outside tax offices and banks around
the country.
