[01] PM to attend ceremony handing over SNFCC to the state on Thursday
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is to attend and address a ceremony for
the handover of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre to the
Greek State on Thursday. The event will take place at the SNFCC at 18:00.
[02] Alt. Environment minister invites municipalities to cooperate with
efforts to publish maps of Greece's forested regions
Alternate Environment and Energy Minister Sokratis Famellos appealed to
Greek municipal authorities to cooperate with efforts to publish maps
defining the extent of Greece's forested areas as quickly as possible,
in a letter sent to the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE)
on Wednesday.
The minister called KEDE to a working meeting, noting that the
participation of local authorities in this effort, barring a few
exceptions, was "distressingly and unjustifiably low" while expressing
confidence that "we can cover the lost ground."
