[01] Tsipras: An end to Greece's supervision now in sight"We are very close to the point that will allow us to organise the day after," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said in an address to the ruling SYRIZA party's Central Committee on Sunday. The government's ultimate goal was to lead Greece's to an exit from memorandum programmes and this was now in sight, the prime minister said."We did not assume this grave responsibility in order to become managers of the disaster caused by those that had for decades handled the fate of the country, but to put the country back on its feet and lead it out of supervision. We are fighting, with victories and compromises and we have faith in the strength and potential of our country and our people," he said. Outlining the implications, both positive and negative, of the agreement reached by Eurozone finance ministers in Malta, Tsipras admitted that this included measures that the government would not have necessarily chosen to implement but were necessary in order to arrive at a compromise. "Following the Malta agreement, the end of supervision and our unswerving goal to end this ordeal is now in sight," Tsipras said.
