[01] We are working properly to reach a fair and realistic agreement,
parliament president Voutsis says
"The circles around the German Finance Minister wanted to impose a
dishonest and deadlock compromise. We are working properly to reach
a fair and realistic agreement. We can reasonably have expectations,
because it seems that there is no reason to continue imposing this
deadlock policy," Parliament President Nikos Voutsis said in a SYRIZA
event on Thursday.
The review of the second programme of the third memorandum is a harsh
agreement that has room for improvement provided that the issue of
debt is included. Otherwise we cannot speak of an agreement. This will
give Greece the opportunity to participate in ECB quantitative easing
programme and carry out investment plans, he added.
According to Voutsis, we can hope that Greece will exit the memoranda,
and there will be political and international guarantees so that labour
relations are restored.
Moreover, he said that the climate in Europe has changed and countries
have started to cooperate as it is the case with the countries of the
European South.
