American President George Bush is slowly but steadily climbing down the ladder of popularity. The increased dissatisfaction of the American people over the US handlings regarding the Iraqi issue and the high price of gasoline decreased the faith people have in George Bush and his popularity has dropped to the lowest level in four and a half years, said an opinion poll conducted by the Gallop institute published on Friday.

As per the gallop, which seems to confirm the results of the three previous polls published last week, only 40% of the people asked approve of his actions, while 56% are judgemental.

According to the same institute, from 25 to 28 July the percentage of those who criticised Bush's politics rose to 44%, while the highest disapproval percentage to have been recorded so far was in late June (53%), a fact which led the Institute to underline in its analysis that for several months now President Bush's popularity is decreasing.
