GENOP-PPC (General Federation of Employees of Public Power Corporation) employees put up a banner on a PPC (Public Power Corporation) chimney in Keratsini in the afternoon, protesting symbolically, in view of the court ruling on the provisional and protective measures against their strike. The banner read "no to the dismantling of the Social Security System." GENOP-PPC President N. Fotopoulos told those present that he is sending a message to all employees that rights are conquered with struggles, adding that the government should not turn its back to the employees struggles. Furthermore, he reported that the federation will continue with its strike. Present at the plant were PASOK (Socialists) cadre Mariliza Xenogiannakopoulou and KKE (Greek Communist Party) cadre Vera Nikolaidis.

Meanwhile, the ruling that will decide whether GENOP-PPCs strike is illegal and improper will be issued in the next hours. However, the federation has suspended its 24-hour strikes in order to circumvent the administrations application for provisional and protective measures. As announced, no electric-power cuts will take place Sunday.
