    By Dimitris Alexopoulos

    Sources: ΝΕΤ

The grand success of the Beijing Games in terms of organization, sports venues and athletic performances comes to an end today. The closing ceremony of the 29th Olympic Games starts at 15:00 local time and will be broadcast live by state channel NET. On the sports front world records and Olympic records had been set, in most cases by the same athletes such as American swimmer Michael Phelps, winner of a record eight gold medals, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt and Russian, Yelena Isinbayeva in womens pole vault. Medal review count for Greece includes two silver and two bronze, achieved by athletes who had claimed medal in 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
