Political interest is centered on Thessaloniki in view of the inauguration of the 73th International Fair on Saturday by the Prime-minister. Opposition party leaders will also visit Thessaloniki till September, 14.

The agenda of the Prime-minister, Kostas Karamanlis visit to Thessaloniki includes visits to the new building complex, housing the National Research and Technological Development Center, at 11:30 on Friday and the Thessaloniki Metro construction site at 12:30.

The Prime-minister will declare open the 73rd International Thessaloniki Fair at 11:30, on Saturday, next will meet with ITF administration board and have a tour of the exhibition while at 20:00 in the evening he will deliver a speech to trade unions representatives at the Bellidio Congress Center.

Mr. Karamanlis visit to Thessaloniki concludes on Sunday, September, 7 with the customary Press Interview at the Bellidios Center.
